Cijujung Permai, November 29, 2025 – The long-standing complaints from residents of Cijujung Permai Housing Complex regarding the severely damaged main road have finally found a tangible answer. Through an extraordinary mutual cooperation (gotong royong) initiative, the critical road section, precisely located at Block J.12 in front of the Alus News office, has been successfully repaired thanks to the sincere contributions of several community figures and collective support from the residents.

The condition of the road at this location had long been a major concern, filled with large potholes that endangered motorists, especially during the rainy season. However, that scene has now changed with repair efforts led by three inspiring figures: Mr. Mamat, Abang Jojon, and Abang Morang.

Independent Initiative Born from Care

"This road was in terrible condition. If it wasn't repaired immediately, accidents would surely happen. We didn't want to wait; we had to act," said Mr. Mamat, one of the initiators of this repair action.

Together with Abang Jojon and Abang Morang, the three went down to the street themselves, working shoulder-to-shoulder to patch the potholes using simple but effective materials. This spirit of cooperation acted as a magnet, attracting the attention of other residents.

Support Across Community Elements

The road repair effort was made possible by the participation and support of various parties:

• The Elders (Para Sepuh) of Cijujung Permai Housing: They provided moral and material support, emphasizing the importance of unity in maintaining public facilities.
• The Local Ojek Base (Pangkalan Ojek): As daily users of the main road, the motorcycle taxi drivers enthusiastically welcomed the initiative and actively participated by contributing funds or labor.
• Commuters and Passing Residents: Many residents spontaneously stopped to offer assistance in the form of cash, drinks, or even by helping to level the materials.

"This proves that Cijujung Permai still upholds the spirit of gotong royong. All elements united for the common good," said one representative of the Ojek Base.

Hope for Sustainability

This temporary repair has at least provided comfort and safety for residents passing through. The Alus News office at Block J.12, which witnessed the damage, is now also a witness to the resurgence of community care.

This action is hoped to serve as an example for other areas in the housing complex, while also encouraging authorities to give further attention to the infrastructure within Cijujung Permai.
